“Bulls Bridge CT III Eve”

This afternoon at Bull's Bridge had a much more tranquil feel as I was stationed further downriver below the more turbulent sections. What captured me in this scene was the slanting light just catching branches here and there on the right bank, the light streak across the river, and of course the wonderfully lit tree with its autumn colors and reflections. Having seen this light effect one evening while finishing another painting, I came back the next afternoon to capture it on canvas.
